Celebrating the Small (and Big) Victories

Last night, a package arrived at my door.

Inside was something I had dreamed about for years—my graduation cap and gown.

As I held them in my hands, I couldn't help but reflect on the last 1,096 days. They weren't just days spent earning a degree. They were days filled with growth, sacrifice, unexpected challenges, and countless reminders of God's faithfulness.

During this journey, life didn't slow down so I could focus on school.

Instead, life kept moving.

I went from being a mother of one to a mother of two.

I went from being a girlfriend to a fiancée, and then to a wife.

I balanced being a manager, a college student, and a mother while trying to be present for the people I love most.

There were moments of overwhelming joy and moments that left me questioning whether I had enough strength to keep going.

There were victories worth celebrating and valleys I never expected to walk through.

There were late nights studying after everyone else had gone to bed, early mornings fueled by coffee and prayer, and days when I wondered if finishing was even possible.

But by the grace of God, I kept taking one step at a time.

Looking back now, I realize this degree represents so much more than earning a diploma.

It represents perseverance.

It represents faith.

It represents choosing to keep going, even when quitting seemed easier.

One of the greatest lessons I've learned is that our struggles don't last forever. With God's strength, the support of those who love us, and a willingness to keep moving forward, today's hardships can become tomorrow's testimony.

There were countless nights when my prayers weren't for perfect grades or an easier schedule.

They were simple prayers.

"Lord, give me the strength for today."

"Help me keep going."

"Take care of my family while I do what You've called me to do."

God answered those prayers in ways I didn't always recognize at the time. Sometimes He gave me strength. Sometimes He gave me peace. Sometimes He sent encouragement through family, friends, or complete strangers who reminded me not to give up.

Everything I have worked toward has been for my family.

I wanted to build a better future for my husband and daughters.

More than anything, I wanted my girls to grow up knowing that dreams are worth pursuing, hard work matters, and with God, nothing is impossible.

I hope one day they'll look back and say, "If Mom could do it through everything she faced, maybe I can too."

That's the legacy I want to leave—not perfection, but perseverance.

So today, I want to encourage you.

Celebrate your accomplishments.

Celebrate the milestones that no one else sees.

Celebrate the prayers God has answered.

Celebrate the strength He gave you when you thought you had nothing left.

Whether your victory is earning a degree, making it through another difficult week, raising your children with love, overcoming a personal struggle, or simply choosing not to give up today, it matters.

Every step forward is worth celebrating.

Because every accomplishment is evidence of God's faithfulness working in our lives.

Scripture to Hold Onto

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

— Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)

No dream is too big when God is at the center of it.

Keep trusting Him, keep praying, and keep moving forward. The journey may not be easy, but with Christ, every step has purpose.

With love and prayers,
